designing and tutoring online tasks for distance-learning students


This action research project - which started in 2002 - has a double goal, helping Master's students in Teaching French as a Foreign Language to create multimedia tasks for distant learners and eliciting online interaction between these two groups around these tasks.

The objective is two-fold:

  • For the French students, as future teachers, to interact with real students in order to test their ideas of multimedia tasks and online communication.
  • For the French language learners, to have contact with popular French culture through contact with the young French students.
